Social Media Manager

 

Key Requirement

QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 Develop social media content development that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored for target audiences

    Creation, management, coordination, and post scheduling of the brand’s content calendar

    Manage online discussions by listening to users, reading between the lines, and responding in a timely manner to users’ needs and requests.

    Establish consistency of message across multiple networks

    Translating social media metrics into an insightful narrative

    Understanding social media metrics in order to optimize and create/adapt client strategies

    Track and report on community growth, performance, and participation

    Manage multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines

    Potential editorial outreach to blogs, websites, influencers and niche communities

    Understanding and recognizing opportunities within emerging platforms, online communities and industry developments

    Contribute creative and innovative social ideas/campaigns

    •Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the Social/Digital

    Help coordinate estimates and timelines for social/digital projects

    Keep and maintain clear records (write briefs, status reports, contact reports, etc)

    Conduct research and deliver clear recommendations based on project specs

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

    Strong organizational skills and sense of professionalism

    Must be able to work on a team and individually

    Experience with being held accountable on a professional level

    Must be at least 18 years of age

    Strong time management skills

 

 

Adminstrative Assistant

Top three qualifications for intern :

Position Description:

The administrative assistant is responsible for general assistance in the office and receiving program participants and members of the public in the office.

Specific responsibilities include:

General office assistance

  • Receive visitors and respond in a friendly way to their needs

  • Answer telephone calls whenever possible and respond to callers’ requests with a friendly tone of voice

  • Process daily incoming and outgoing mail

  • Provide general support for agency including general filing, general copying, supply ordering, and mailing preparation

  • Maintain agency archive

  • Scrapbook update

 Provide professional development support

  • Enter memberships and update contact information

  • Enter workshop registrations and update contact information

  • Prepare and maintain attendance records for workshops

  • Reminder calls/emails to workshop registrants

Special event support and assistance

  • Update display board materials

  • Assist in agency special events

  • Assist in press release/publicity distribution

  • Assist in planning process

  • Represent the agency in a positive way with clients and the broader community

  • Contribute to a collegial atmosphere and other work of the agency as needed

Qualifications:

• Requires high school diploma. Associates degree and/or 3 years professional experience preferred.
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Work with people in a wide variety of settings and situations
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Capacity to work on a computer and keep detailed records

 

 

 

 

Graphic Design / Website Intern 

REPORTS TO: Graphic Designer 

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Provide graphic design support to the Marketing Department. Preferred candidates have previous experience using graphic design and website software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, WordPress). Candidates must provide design samples and links at interview. 

 

REQUIRED HOURS: 10-15 hours per week, during normal business hours (8am-5pm, Mon-Fri). 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

PHOTO MANAGEMENT 

Prepare electronic image files for use on press area of the website and e-mail programs 

 

 

 

 

GRAPHIC DESIGNER 

· Design promotional materials in a look consistent with other Convocations marketing materials (including but 

not limited to ads, flyers, posters, envelope stuffers, and postcards). 

· Design promotional materials for on-campus student promotions. 

 

WEBSITE 

· Update website content for convocations.org using WordPress platform. 

· Assist with auxiliary websites as needed. (Student Concert Committee and Convocations Volunteer Network)

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

· Excellent verbal/written communication skills. 

· Excellent attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills. 

· Required computer skills: working knowledge of internet, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Reader, 

Dreamweaver, and WordPress. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software programs. 

· Ability to work independently in deadline-sensitive environment. · Have an interest in the performing arts and/or arts administration and its related fields. 

· Valid driver’s license preferred. 

· Pursuit of college degree in art and design, business, communications, English, or area of fine arts preferred
